Visualizations of the models should not be interpreted as official forecast of national weather service of Estonia. Estonian national weather service forecasts are based on models, but are not identical to model output. Model output is available for wider audience with developmental and educational purposes. ETB model is development testbed for future. Thus, the possible occurrence of problems has to be taken into account.
Hirlam model is updated every 6 hours.
Larger model ETA (Europe) is hydrostatic version of HIRLAM with horizontal resolution of 11 km. This is the main model of operational short range weather prognoses.
HIRLAM is a joint scientific and development project of many European countries with the aim of creating, developing and using a quality numerical weather prediction software to serve the states and nations through their national weather services.
