The time series data displayed on the graph of the water level, flow or water temperature with a daily step of the hydrometric stations can also be downloaded in CSV file format (button in the upper right corner of the graph).
Open data in machine-readable format can also be found on the Keskkonnaportaal.
Water level and water temperature are measured automatically at the hydrometric stations. The water level values are calculated from the gauge datum of each hydrometric station and, in addition, when the cursor is moved over the graph, the water level values in the Amsterdam Ordnance Datum (EH2000), are displayed in brackets in the box that opens. Since the automation of hydrometric stations, water temperature sensors are located near the bottom of river beds.
Flows are measured at the hydrometric stations a minimum of 16 times a year. The measured flows are used to construct a discharge curve as a function of the water level and the flows, from which the flow is calculated.
The reference period used in the graph is the last 30 years or, in the case of a shorter time series of a hydrometric station parameter, the homogeneous time series of the whole parameter is used. The time series with different reference periods can be examined in the EstModel application.
To find the minimum, maximum and mean values of the parameter displayed below the graph, the entire homogeneous time series of the corresponding parameter at the hydrometric station has been used. More detailed information on the hydrometric stations can be found on the monitoring network page (in Estonian).
